Every action in Gridfall feeds the next. Resources fuel upgrades, upgrades unlock armies, armies conquer enemies, and conquered enemies yield resources. The shield economy adds a strategic tension layer that makes every decision meaningful. This is the engine that drives retention, monetization, and competitive depth.

Players dispatch troops to resource nodes scattered across the hex map. Each node yields Energy, Metal, or Crypto — the three currencies that power every other system. The shield economy creates a risk/reward tension: dropping your shield boosts production to 250% but leaves you vulnerable to raids.

When shields are up, you're safe but stagnant. When shields are down, you're farming at 250% but exposed to raids.
